BHS students learn about youth court

COURT IS IN SESSION as BHS students learn about the law.

Baldwin High School students in the Introduction to Law class learned about the youth court program from Arianne Reyer, assistant district attorney and assistant director of the Nassau County Youth Court.

She explained that students are selected to attend actual court cases held at Hofstra Law School and Hempstead Village Court, in which they serve as members of the court. Social Studies Department Supervisor Augustine Tornatore states, “The youth court offers an opportunity for Baldwin students to participate in and see how the legal/court system functions.”
