How to sell your home in a difficult market
Monday, November 28, from 7-8:45 p.m. This seminar includes a panel of three speakers: Realtor Joel Krieger will discuss marketing a home in a difficult market and will explain the three golden rules in the selling process; Attorney Anthony Russ will speak about legal issues and how to best make the home selling process go smoothly; home stager Eric Treubig will discuss the importance of lighting and color as well as a 51-point checklist covering how to make your house more attractive to buyers. Light refreshments will be served. Telephone registration is ongoing.
Creative writers workshop
Monday, November 28, from 7-8:30 p.m. Kelly A. George welcomes aspiring and published writers and all interested in creative writing. Bring your notebook, your insight and your inspiration! Everyone is welcome. Telephone registration is ongoing at the adult reference desk.
December art exhibit
View an assortment of acrylic paintings by Margaret Bernstein and her children, Aaron and Juliet, during the month of December.
Aaron is enrolled in the eighth-grade at the Baldwin Middle School. He enjoys spending time with his family and loves music, especially bluegrass music. Aaron is also a member of the school’s Chamber Orchestra, where he plays the violin. He has been taking art lessons for a number of years, and would like to continue improving his art work.
Juliet is a fifth-grader at Plaza Elementary School. She plays basketball, baseball and softball, and is running for Student Council President. Juliet enjoys music and is a member of Plaza’s Jazz Band and School Orchestra, where she plays bass guitar and stand-up bass.
Margaret discovered painting at an early age. She began classes when she was a student in high school. Margaret is a social worker who works at Elmhurst Hospital, and works with many clients throughout Long Island. She is active in the school PTA at the Plaza Elementary School, and coaches her daughter’s baseball team and softball teams.
