A testament of community understanding

Fri, Nov 18, 2011

Having lived in [the community] for the past 24 years, there has only been one newspaper I feel captures the hometown feeling that a local paper should: and that paper is Bellmore/Merrick Life.

As a resident, I look forward each week to receiving the paper to see what is going on in town. Having raised my children in [the community schools], I know how exciting it was to open up the paper when they were young and see their activity captured in the paper.

I now see myself in the paper with the local organizations I am part of.

As an advertiser, Bellmore/Merrick Life has been the only local newspaper where I run my ads. I constantly have people in town telling me they see my ads. I’ve listed homes as a result of Bellmore/Merrick Life.

Working with Elaine Spiro has been an absolute pleasure. She knows what message I am trying to convey, with never any pressure. I always get advance notice of upcoming issues and reminders of when my ad is due.

When Elaine isn’t in, I know I can always call Jill Bromberg who knows my ads as well. Working with Bellmore/Merrick Life is like working with family and that is what I feel a hometown paper is all about.
Thank you!
