OHR needs your help for the holidays!
A open letter seeking donations.
Dear Friends:
Your donations in the past years are well known and your generosity is needed more now. I know you, too, are feeling the effects of the economy whether you own a business, are an employee or a retiree, but our helping Freeport families depends on you and your charity.
This year there was an added burden with people losing their homes, jobs and health insurance; Hurricane Irene added an additional burden to fami-lies already stressed. Financially we cannot help all the people. When available we have food and clothing. Our compassionate listening is a big support making necessary referrals. Our helping these families all year relies on you and your generosity.
Please help us again this year to bring Thanksgiving and Christmas Joy to others even less fortunate than we.
Thanksgiving food or gift certificates can be brought to Outreach no later than November 17 – see hours above. Any questions call Alfonso 868-8289.
Christmas food, unwrapped new toys and children’s clothing are welcome. Donations can be brought to Outreach no later than the week of December 12. Gift certificates are appreciated.
