2011 Baby Kasey turns one
Catching up with the 2011 Baby of the Year in the Merricks.
Older siblings, Nicole and Christopher say that Kasey is "very musical and loves to clap her hands, play the drums, and bounce to the music". She truly is a joy and a blessing to the Devlin family.
It’s so much fun to catch up with the families of the First Baby of the Year. They have so much to share and lots of milestones to tell about with their little ones.
Kasey Ann Devlin’s mom, Sue, is no different. She shares not only the baby’s growth and progress but that of her whole family. Older siblings Christopher and Nicole are “amazing great helpers and great playmates,” says Sue. “They enjoy doing so much to help and are helping with the baby so much.”
“It’s been a great year.”
Kasey, who will turn one on January 12, is saying “Daddy, Daddy,” much to the delight of father, Chris.
Talking up a storm, she already has nicknames for just about everyone in the house. Mom is “ma, ma”; Nicole is “key” (as in Nikki); and brother Chris is “bro, bro.”
She is beginning to walk with the help of her siblings and, much to the delight of her mother, she is an easy-going third child. On the other hand, much to her dismay baby Kasey “does not like to sleep,” says Sue.
As she grows and her personality has developed Sue can see that Kasey is very inquisitive – she is always looking to see how things work and is a very determined little girl.
Kasey enjoys playing with Holly the family dog, who is very even- tempered and takes the aforementioned inquisitiveness in stride.
In the year that has gone by, Sue has returned to work part-time, something she enjoys and give Kasey a little bit of a social outlet.
So as Merrick Life wraps up this update with the Devlin family, we ask the annual question once again: “Who will be the First Baby of 2012?”
