Levy-Lakeside celebrates 115th birthday of PTAs
PTA's 115th birthday celebration.
The community is invited to help Norman J. Levy-Lakeside PTA celebrate Founders Day on Thursday, February 2, at 7 p.m. Founders Day celebrates the 115th birthday of PTA, and is a reminder of the substantial role that PTAs plays locally, regionally and nationally in supporting parent involvement, and working on behalf of all children and families.
Lakeside PTA will begin the celebration with an Awards presentation to the winners of Lakeside’s Reflections Contest, followed by a performance by Lakeside’s fourth-grade chorus. The evening will conclude with the presentation of Lakeside’s Founders’ Day Awards. Reflections is a National PTA program and contest, which encourages children to explore their artistic talents in a variety of areas, and participate for fun and recognition.
This year, the Founders Day Award will be presented to PTA President Jennifer Birke; Lakeside parents Pamela Banks Davis, Traci Intravaia, Aimee Markowitz, Marge Suntup and Jennifer Wasserman; and Lakeside music teacher Jeff “Mr G” Glemboski and sixth-grade teacher Jen Meschkow. Congratulations to all!
