You'll remember their name...
In a special arrangement with Music Theatre International, Baldwin High School presented the musical “Fame” on November 17-19. The production starred Nick Kelliher as Nick Piazza, Alexis Corrado and Hannah Marrero alternating as Serena Katz, Travis Finlay as Joe Vegas, Connor O’Neill as Tyrone Jackson, Taylor Amato as Carmen Diaz, Karlee Yanantuono as Iris Kelly, Molly Marrero as Mabel Washington, Leron Wellington as Schlomo Metzenbaum, Jillian Dolan as Grace Lamb, Valerie Conforti as Goodman King, Fatima Cadet-Diaby as Ms. Sherman, Nancy Conforti as Ms. Bell, Ally Callaghan as Ms. Myers, and Johnathan Fulcher as Mr. Sheinkopf. Based on the 1980 musical film and subsequent television series and Off-Broadway production, the story follows the lives of students attending New York City’s High School of the Performing Arts.
The show was produced by Ed Chiarello and directed by Gene Forman with musical direction by Kim Roof, vocal direction by Kristine Simko, technical direction by Anthony DeAngelis and Scott Peritz, art supervision by Travis White, choreography by Ann Marie Lupo, costumes by Barbara Kirby, and lighting by student Greg Sisco.
The Pit Orchestra provided live musical accompaniment while Stage Crew (“Krough”) managed the entire set built in the stagecraft class and junior Jillian Dolan designed the “Fame” poster, program cover, and T-shirt.
