Police investigate death at Dodd School
Dodd student collapses and later dies.
Nassau police First Squad detectives are investigating the death of a 12-year-old girl in Freeport on Thursday, December 15, at 2:20 p.m.
According to detectives, while entering her classroom at Dodd Junior High School on Pine Street, she collapsed and fell to the floor. A Nassau police ambulance transported the child to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead by hospital staff at 3:56 p.m.
The cause of death is unknown at this time, pending autopsy results.
