Fire elections December 13
Wantagh and Seaford plan Tuesday votes.
Residents will go to the polls to vote for fire commissioners in Wantagh and Seaford on Tuesday, December 13.
In Seaford, Frank Allaire is running unopposed for the position of Fire Commissioner. Voting takes place between 6-9 p.m. at the Seaford Fire Department, 2170 Southard Avenue.
In Wantagh, John. J Gillen is running unopposed for the position of Fire Commissioner. Voting takes place between 2-9 p.m. at the following fire houses – Station One, 3470 Park Avenue; Station Two, 844 Wantagh Avenue, Levittown; Station Three, 2529 Neptune Avenue, Seaford; Station Four, 1191 Alken Avenue, Seaford; Station Five, 2985 Merrick Road.
The position of fire commissioner is a five-year term. The new fire commissioners will begin their tenure as of January 1.
