Merrick Lions have purple hearts for veterans

THE FIRST PURPLE HEART PUPS FAMILY FESTIVAL took place on Sunday at Merrick’s Five Towns Firefighters’ Training Center. At left are Toni Pincus, town Councilwoman Angie Cullin, Rose Ott and event organizer Lisa Siano. Purple Heart Pups, a new nonprofit fundraiser established by Merrick Lions Club Foundation Inc., seeks sponsors to aid disabled, blind and amputee veterans through the work of America’s Vet Dogs and the National Amputation Foundation. contact Lisa Siano at lsianoesq@optonline.net or visit www.purpleheartpups.org. Purple Heart Pups is dedicated to raising funds to help provide injured veterans with services they need to help them lead full productive lives.
