Election results for Tuesday, November 2, elections will be discussed on Thursday, November 4, at 7:15 p.m. at the Merrick Library.  

Donald Beahm, PH.D., will be the speaker at this meeting co-sponsored by the League of Women Voters and the Merrick Library. Dr. Beahm,  an associate professor of political science at Dowling College, will also address the  Supreme Court decision stating corporate funding of independent political broadcasts cannot be limited under the First Amendment. What was the thinking of our Founding Fathers?
