Celebrating Veterans Day
Birch School plays host to veterans and grandfathers-who-served at an early Veterans Day event.
Many grandfathers who were members of the armed services came to celebrate an early Veterans Day at Birch School last week. from left are Thomas Fernandez with his granddaughter, first-grader Alexis Fernandez, Clem DelGrosso with his granddaughter Toni Rosabianco, and Eugene Faughnan and Dennis McGuire flank their grandson Connor Faughnan. At right is school Assistant Principal Salvatore Dossena. Below is a group photo featuring many local veterans and firefighters, digntitaries and school officials who all took part in the day’s celebration of honored heroes.
