Kennedy's Dancing with the Teachers tonight!
See teachers and students dance together for a good cause.
Dance teachers from the Merrick Arthur Murray Dance Center are excited and working hard with seven high school teachers from Kennedy High School, as they practice their dance routines for tonight’s exciting fundraising event, “Dancing with the Teachers.”
Everyone cheers on their favorite couple as teachers perform a wide variety of dances, including Cha Cha, foxtrot, tango, rumba, and disco with their Arthur Murray professional partners.
Dancing with the Teachers takes place tonight, April 7 at Kennedy, 3000 Bellmore Avenue, Bellmore, from 7 to 9 p.m. Tickets are $10 prepaid, and $12 at the door. They can be purchased by calling 992-1454.
This year’s dance stars are Kerri Andree dancing with Anthony Mouras, Anthony DeMartinis dancing with Genene Piciullo, Franca Fiorentino dancing with Anthony Mouras, Kristy Lentino-Faulkner dancing with Arthur Bartman, Brad Seidman dancing with Genene Piciullo, Dan Vessely dancing with Mary Cornetta and Jennifer Werner-Sapir dancing with Arthur Bartman.
Hundreds of students attend this fundraiser event, which supports school organizations and scholarships. This year, “Dancing with the Teachers” will also donate a portion of the evening’s funds to Family and Children’s Association (www.familyandchildrens.org), a not-for-profit organization that serves underprivileged children, families and seniors across Long Island.
