Bellmorite signs with Division 1 team
Cutrone heads to Marist.
Louis Cotrone, a senior at Holy Trinity High School, has signed his letter of intent to attend Marist College for football after receiving a Division 1 Scholarship. He will be studying business administration and business law at Marist College.
Louis was being recruited by many colleges, including Princeton, Columbia, New Hampshire, UMass, Rhode Island, Maine, Gettysburg, Amherst, University of Chicago and Williams College. “I chose Marist College because it was a perfect fit for me,” he said.
Louis is a Bellmore resident. At six feet, 215 pounds, he played football, basketball and baseball as a Titan. He was 2010 Holy Trinity Offensive Player of the Year.
Louis was a student at Winthrop Avenue, Shore Road and Grand Avenue schools. He has been playing football since the age of five. He played for the Bellmore Braves organization for eight years and then played football at Grand Avenue Middle School. He did community service as an assistant coach for the Bellmore Braves for two years, with the 8-9-year-old program.
