Vacation or staycation?
Both can improve your state of mind!
Given the current economic situation, many more of our readers are opting for staycations this summer. Fortunately, we have so many beautiful state, county and town beaches and parks, plus the most exciting city in the world, with its united nations of neighborhoods nearby, to explore.
That said, it is still important to “go on vacation” if only for a weekend. Lounging around the house can just make you see more chores and improvements you really ought to do. Sitting at the computer only makes you think of one more project from work to perfect.
It is wise to get out of the house and away from the office to get a complete rest and relaxation and change of scenery, and later return to work refreshed and revived. The alternative is to get all frustrated and burned out.
Even those who are between jobs and looking for work can benefit from some time off from the job search to clear their minds and search their souls for clues on what the next step should be.
So don’t feel guilty about taking a break. You will be worth much more when you return.
