Merrick chamber KidsFest coming this weekend
Robbie Rosen to perform. Come down to the Merrick LIRR parking for the annual Merrick Kids Fest.
County Legislator Dave Denenberg (D-Merrick) honored Robbie Rosen during a full session of the Legislature last month. Robbie is a 17-year-old student, athlete and musician at Calhoun High School in Merrick. His most recent accomplishment was to appear as a contestant on the nationally televised show “American Idol.” Legislator Denenberg congratulated Robbie and commended him for inspiring and motivating teenagers. With them is Robbie’s mom Loren Rosen. Robbie is slated to sing on Saturday at the Merrick Chamber of Commerce Kids Fest, 11 a.m.
The Merrick Chamber of Commerce is hosting its Annual Kids Fest April 15th, 16th and 17th. In addition to the rides, local vendors and Craft Fair, the Chamber is honoring local celebrity Robbie Rosen for his outstanding performance on American Idol.
"Robbie Rosen Day" will be on Saturday, April 16th and begin with our opening ceremonies at 11:00 am. Mr. Rosen will sing for the community at that time and receive a presentation from the Merrick Chamber of Commerce.
The Merrick Chamber of Commerce is comprised of over 150 local businesses and has been serving the community for over 75 years. The Kids Fest and Fall Festivals raise money which is given directly back to the community in Student Awards to all three high schools, beautification of Merrick and holiday lights and decorations.
Merrick is located in Nassau County on the South Shore of Long Island. The location of the festival is the Merrick LIRR station.
